Buck Gardner founded the company in 1996 in Memphis, TN, after years of competitive duck calling and call-making experience. Buck reached the top of competitive duck calling by winning the World Duck Calling Championship in 1994, and then winning the World Duck Calling Champion of Champions contest in 1995. Winning the Champion of Champions competition earns a caller automatic retirement from the World Duck competitions in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Starting his game call business allowed Buck to combine his lifelong passion for waterfowl hunting with the knowledge gained from years around manufacturing businesses. He built Buck Gardner Calls on the principle that high quality and exceptional realism could be achieved while offering hunters a fair price. These days, Buck still enjoys hunting as much as ever - but more than that, he enjoys giving back by passing on the hunting tradition and supporting waterfowl conservation.
Buck Gardner Calls has introduced several innovations to the game call market, most notably Spit-Tech™ technology – a toneboard design that allows the call to cycle saliva and moisture through the call during use. Since many duck hunters inadvertently spit into the call while operating it, this technology provided a call that was completely reliable in the field.
Today, BGC makes a full range of duck calls, goose calls, and predator calls, as well as a small selection of deer calls. Our duck and goose calls range from high-end custom acrylic calls down to full polycarbonate calls. We truly offer calls for all calling skill levels and all price ranges. Every call is tuned and tested at our shop in Memphis before it makes its way into the field, and each call is backed by our Lifetime Guarantee.
Our mission is to help hunters enjoy every hunt to the fullest and increase success through communication with nature. We accomplish this by making exceptional products, continuous education of ourselves and our customers, and a commitment to conservation so that there are plenty of ducks and geese for future generations to enjoy.
