Otter XL Padded Tri-Pod Chair (Adj. Lumbar)

After seeing the chair on Otter's website, I wanted it because Otter's website says it is two pounds and my current Eskimo chair weighs 8 pounds. I pull my Clam on the ice and like to move around quite a bit and every pound makes a difference. I also was intrigued by the lumbar support. So the first thing you need to know is this is NOT two pounds. It weighs a little less than the Eskimo but is still over 7 pounds. I took two stars away for that misrepresentation. I believe the Eskimo is 8 pounds. The Otter is also built strong, so the weight savings comes from it being a smaller frame (Height and Width). I am almost 6 feet and weigh about 170. It fits me fine but if you are a bigger guy, in my opinion, stick with the larger framed Eskimo. Otherwise you are likely to have the frame rubbing on your back. If you are my size or under, you should be fine. I did not return the chair despite the weight because the bonus it gives me is more room in my one man shelter and I like that. The lumbar panel slides easy enough to position it (wraps around the pole with a wide chunk of Velcro to tighten. Seems to do what it was intended to but you really only have a small area of play to position it. Overall, a solid chair. Just do your homework on the dimensions and do not buy it because of weight differential. The quality is fine.
