Decent Product
0 people found this helpfulThis is my second one in 18 months. It does work very well in maintaining a slow speed but, for some reason I lost one of my springs and the bottom right corner broke off. I always try to minimize going into reverse and not go over 35 MPG to maintain its longevity. I'm not sure if the piece broke off because of the spring went missing or snapped. I also remove the unit when I know I will be pleasure boating as to not to wear out the springs. Maybe I'm wrong about removing the unit when not in use for its intended purpose but I'm just being cautious. -

Great Product
0 people found this helpfulThis is my second trol-a-matic and it is an awesome product. I broke the first one, my mistake, but used it for about ten years. I have not installed the new one yet but I know it will work fine. I would recommend this product to anyone that trolls. -

Easy install.
0 people found this helpfulThis was a replacement for a twenty year old plate that finally had enough. Install was easy as the bolt holes were already in the lower unit. The old plate was on three different motors and the installation was simple on all three. Beat of all, no cord to; mess with or forget.
