Traxstech Aluminum Mounting Track - MT

The foundation of the Traxstech system is an anodized aluminum mounting track with a grooved interior design.

 

With the mounting tracks installed on your boat, this gives you the ability to change your style or method of fishing by sliding in our different types of Traxstech rod holders, down-rigger mounts or one of the many accessories we sell in the mounting track and tightening the star-shaped thumbscrews securely in place.

 

Track is 3 1/2" wide outside dimension.

Comes in the following lengths:

6 inch, 12 inch, 18 inch, 24 inch, 36 inch, 48 inch, 60 inch, and 72 inch.

 

When you are not fishing, slide your equipment out of the mounting track and slide in our track insert (sold separately - part # RPIB).

 

 

Q. What length/size of the mounting track should I mount on my boat?

A. The track is the least expensive item and it is easier to mount one longer track, rather than adding it in smaller sections down the road. IE: If you want to add another rod holder, net holder or adjustable cleat, with the longer track you are already set up for it. Just slide it in and go.

 

Q. Do the mounting tracks come with hardware to install them?

A. Yes. They come with stainless steel 1-3/4" long screws with lock washers, fender washers, and nuts.

 

Q. Is the price for two tracks? or one?

A. The price is for one track.

 

Q. Do Traxstech tracks come with end caps included?

A. No. We sell those separately. Part # is MTEC-2.

 

Q. How many T-Bolt mount brackets do I need for my Traxstech mounting track?

A. You will need one bracket per set of mounting holes. Depending on what size of a track you are trying to mount using our T-bolt brackets will determine how many sets you will need to purchase.

The following information will make it easy for you to determine how many t-bolt brackets you will need:

• MT-6 ( 6 inch mounting track ) requires 2 brackets / 1 set of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-12 ( 12 inch mounting track ) requires 3 brackets / 2 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-18 ( 18 inch mounting track ) requires 3 brackets / 2 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-24 ( 24 inch mounting track ) requires 4 brackets / 2 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-36 ( 36 inch mounting track ) requires 5 brackets / 3 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-48 ( 48 inch mounting track ) requires 5 brackets / 3 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-60 ( 60 inch mounting track ) requires 7 brackets / 4 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.
• MT-72 ( 72 inch mounting track ) requires 8 brackets / 4 sets of t-bolt brackets in the degree of your boats track system.

 

Q. How many Rail mount clamps do I need for my Traxstech mounting track?

A. You will need one bracket per set of mounting holes. Depending on what size of a track you are trying to mount using our Rail Mount Clamps will determine how many sets you will need to purchase.

The following information will make it easy for you to determine how many Rail Mount Clamps you will need:

• MT-6 (6-inch mounting track ) requires 2 clamps / 1 set of Rail Mount Clamps.
• MT-12 (12-inch mounting track ) requires 3 clamps / 1 sets of Rail Mount Clamps.
• MT-18 (18-inch mounting track ) requires 3 clamps / 2 sets of Rail Mount Clamps.
• MT-24 (24-inch mounting track ) requires 4 clamps / 2 sets of Rail Mount Clamps.
• MT-36 (36-inch mounting track ) requires 5 clamps / 3 sets of Rail Mount Clamps.

Q. How many ACB-250 Brackets do I need for my Traxstech mounting track?

A. You will need one bracket per set of mounting holes. Depending on what size of a track you are trying to mount using our ACB-250 will determine how many sets you will need to purchase.

The following information will make it easy for you to determine how many Rail Mount Clamps you will need:

• MT-6 ( 6 inch mounting track ) requires 2 ACB-250 Brackets / 1 set of ACB-250 Brackets.
• MT-12 ( 12 inch mounting track )requires 2 ACB-250 Brackets / 1 set of ACB-250 Brackets.
• MT-18 ( 18 inch mounting track ) requires 2 ACB-250 Brackets / 1 set of ACB-250 Brackets.
• MT-24 ( 24 inch mounting track ) requires 2 ACB-250 Brackets / 1 set of ACB-250 Brackets, Unless you are doing a down-rigger or 4 unit tree then you need 4 ACB-250 Brackets / 2 sets of ACB-250 Brackets.
• MT-36 ( 36 inch mounting track )requires 3 ACB-250 Brackets / 2 sets of ACB-250 Brackets, Unless you are doing a down-rigger or 4 unit tree then you need 5 ACB-250 Brackets

*** Note *** The longer the track the more it spreads out the weight and torque that may occur with heavier or multiple items on the track with the ACB-250 system. It also means you may not need to have the ACB-250 bracket at every mounting hole on the track.

 

Q. What is the minimum length of the track I can use to install my vertical trees to my boat?

A. We recommend using our MT-24 or larger tracks. The longer the track the more stability and strength you will have. Using a smaller length may cause your equipment to fail and the possibility of losing your valuable equipment to the bottom of a lake increases.

 

Q. What is the minimum length of the track I can use to install downriggers to my boat?

A. We recommend using our MT-24 or larger tracks. The longer the track the more stability and strength you will have. We recommend downriggers have a track that is installed directly to the gunnel. Using a smaller length may cause your equipment to fail and the possibility of losing your valuable equipment to the bottom of a lake increases.

 

Q. How many backer plates do I need for my Traxstech mounting track?

A. If you are installing a 6", 12", 18", 24" or 36" track you need to order just one backing plate in the corresponding size. If you are installing anything over 36" and wish to use a backing plate as well you must order the 3" backing plate - (part # 3-BP). The other size backing plates will not line up properly with the mounting holes on your tracks.

 

MT-6 uses one 6-BP

MT-12 uses one 12-BP

MT-18 uses one 18-BP

MT-24 uses one 24-BP

MT-36 uses one 36-BP or Five of our 3-BP (recommended)

MT-48 uses five 3-BP

MT-60 uses seven 3-BP

MT-72 uses eight 3-BP
