With that in mind we added our Smoke Box technology which makes a dedicated smoker that much better. It comes with jerky racks, and hanging hooks so you can smoke anything your heart desires. Its main fuel source is pellets which allows a convenient set it and forget it PID controller to run the smoker. Spend more time on what matters most to you and let the smoker do all the work.
The Smoke Box allows you to add hard wood chunks, charcoal, chips or more pellets to smolder and add more flavor than ever before. This box is ignited by sitting above the pellet burn pot and controlling a butter fly valve. Take control of your smoke flavor and profile. The addition of the Smoke Box allows for users to utilize Fan Mode on their controller and app. Fan Mode grants you access to a new style of cold smoking and cooking.
Compared to a pellet grill a vertical smoker offers more rack space and better low smoking capabilities. We add in additional jerky racks and hooks to hang sausage and hams. Fit everything you need without wasting any space in the vertical pellet smoker.
The PID controller helps regulate smoke and temperature. Control exactly how much smoke you incorporate into your cook by adjusting the Smoke Number. The PID’s extremely detailed controller gives you the industry’s most precise smoker temperature. As your Smoke Number increases, your smoke output increases. As your Smoke Number decreases the temperatures will hold tighter.
Your smoker is powered by Hardwood Pellets, the burning and smoldering of those pellets provides you with smoke. However, it's also accompanied with ash. Instead of hauling the shop vac out, simply pull the Ash Cleanout knob on the side of the grill, your unwanted ash empties into the cup, where you can remove and discard within seconds.
We added the down and out ventilation to the vertical smoker to maximize flavor and efficiency. This convection style exhaust creates the most even smoking chamber allowing you to get even cooks all the time.
Specifically designed for low and slow smokes, your temperature range is 150- 350ºF. Monitor this on your Camp Chef Connect app or via the controller on the hopper.
